We have Book Clubs for Children and Adults!
We have extra copies of all of our book club titles so please stop by to check out your copy and sign up.
- My First Book Club meets monthly on the fourth Friday of the month at 4 pm in the Children's Room. This group is designed for Preschool-Grade 1 and is considered perfect for "graduates of Storytime," who are ready to engage with a picture book in a new way. Each month includes a child-sized book discussion and craft activity.
- Mad Scientist Book Club for Grades 2-4 is a monthly club that reads and discusses a science-related book -- fiction or nonfiction, beginning chapter or graphic novel -- and follows up the discussion with a hands-on experiment or activity. The group meets on the third Friday of the month at 4 pm in the Children's Room.
- Marilyn's Book Discussion group meets monthly on the second Monday of the month at 2 pm. This group chooses traditional titles in a variety of genres.
- The Radical Reads Book Group, led by Andrea, invites its members to read outside their comfort zone and confronts hot topics in the news such as immigration, gender and racial equality, and other social issues of the day. This monthly group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Bean Room.
