Reference Desk

Welcome to your online Reference Desk, available 24/7. Please click on the topics in the menu.

This page is maintained by your professional library staff to bring you reliable, trustworthy resources. You can't believe everything you read online so please take a moment to watch this video (created by a school librarian) about the CRAAP test, a method anyone can use to evaluate internet resources.  CRAAP stands for: Currency - The timeliness of information, Relevance - Does the information relate to your needs?, Authority - The source of the information, Accuracy - The reliability, truthfulness and correctness of the content, Purpose - The reason the information exists.  (For example, is it a .com site with a lot of ads trying to sell you something or a .gov site trying to share public information?)

If you need additional help, please call and ask to speak to one of the librarians who can help to answer your reference question.
