Inter-Library Loan and Purchase Requests

Card holders in good standing are welcome to request titles not owned by the Jaffrey Public Library, and we will attempt to borrow them from other NH public libraries and colleges through the inter-library loan program. We do not borrow out of state.  We only borrow titles that have been in publication for at least six months. A patron may not have more than three requests in process at any given time.

Inter-library loan requests may be available in a few days or up to two weeks, depending on the availability of the title and the state library van service.  Please let us know if your request is time sensitive such as for a school project.

Newer titles will be considered for purchase by the library according to the criteria of our Collection Development policy and with respect to budgetary constraints.  Requests may be made in person or by logging in to Your Account and choosing Reserves/Requests under the Library Account menu.
Inter-library materials may be renewed only at the discretion of the library staff in order to meet the loan arrangements of the lending library.

Private, local book clubs that meet outside the library may request inter-library loan of their monthly book selections by special arrangement with the library director. Please contact her for details.
