Effective May 1, per a vote of the Library Board of Trustees, our Circulation Policy will be updated to further protect patron privacy and clarify the responsibility of parents regarding their children’s selection of materials at the library.
- A valid library card (or ID that matches the account) will be required for checkout.
- User records will be disassociated from circulation within one day of the return of the item, by default. If you are accustomed to asking the staff if you have already read something and you want that to continue, you may choose to retain your history in your online account. We can help you with that, if needed. Please understand that the library must comply with the law if records are subpoenaed.
- In order to update all library records, renewals of all library accounts will need to be done in person until everyone has been updated.
Attention Parents:
- All cards for Youth ages 5 – 17 will be updated with a new registration form that must be signed by the parent/legal guardian, in person, before May 1.
