Please save the date, Tuesday, May 27, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm, and join us in the Bean Room as we celebrate the retirement of Library Assistant, Linda Gleason. Ms. Linda has worked at the library for more than two decades, and she has touched so many lives.
You may know Ms. Linda from her time in the Children's Room and on the circulation desk, or you may have enjoyed the hundreds of Take & Make activities she designed and prepared for the Covid lockdown. You have seen her magical decorations over the years, without even knowing how they came to be. Perhaps, just this week, your children raced to the I Spy case she designs monthly. When I say something crazy like, "We need Truffula Trees for Summer Learning," it is Linda who answers the call.
If you have checked out even one book at the library, or *gasp* ripped a page, Linda has been the one to cover and repair that book. She has quite literally touched every one of the 35,000 items in the library.
It would be impossible to name all of her contributions over the course of 24 years!
Please join the Library Trustees, staff and I as we wish a happy retirement to a valued employee and very special person. We will miss you, Linda!
