Posted on: June 20, 2025[ARCHIVED] Planned Water Outages 6/24/25 - Highland Ave/Rowley Circle

Tuesday 06/24/2025 from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Estimated)
Impacted Addresses: All of Highland Ave and Rowley Circle will experience temporary water loss
What: Hydrant Valve Replacement
Where: 34 Highland Ave, working in the shoulder of the road
Please plan to not have water for most, if not all of the day. Please also expect air and coloration to follow the repair work. When pipes are drained, and flushed, Iron and Manganese can get stirred up and cause “rusty water”. This is just an aesthetic issue and the water is safe. However, use caution if planning to do laundry and make sure the water is clear BEFORE doing laundry. Please also expect air to be trapped within your home plumbing. To get rid of both sedimentation and air in your home plumbing, remove the aerator on the highest sink in your home and run the water until clear and free of air pockets. If the aerator cannot be removed, (do not force it!) simply use the outdoor hose spigot to clear up the water. Once clear, utilize the inside faucet again to remove the air.
Please exercise caution when driving near the work zone in order to keep everyone safe. Be mindful of all road closure signs.
Please call The Department of Public Works at (603) 532 – 6521 with any questions or concerns
