Making Rice Balls at Genre Tasting Book Club

Before the pandemic, our Genre Tasting Book club met in-person as a multi-age book club that allowed participants in Grades 2 -12 to choose their own title in a specified genre, read it, and share it with the group in a discussion facilitated by your librarians.   Your librarians also chose a book in that genre with an accompanying recipe that we prepared (and tasted) during our book tasting discussion.

Ms. Robin has recreated Genre Tasting as a digital book club “to-go!”  She introduces the GENRE, selects an always available title on TumbleBooks that you can read at home, prepares her “book tasting notes” to share with you, and finds a great family-friendly recipe you can make at home to accompany the book title.

We are so excited to see what you cook and hear about the books you have tasted!

See Ms. Robin's Tasting Notes and Recipes in the PDFs below.
