panorama ww cross then and now

Based on interest and concern from the Economic Development Council, the Planning Board and Select Board, the Office of Planning & Economic Development convened a workshop on June 15, 2019, to develop a future vision for the W.W. Cross Site.  This workshop was prepared in partnership with the NJ Institute of Technology which recieves funding from the EPA for training and technical assistance to communities.  The agenda for this meeting is here.

Meeting notes are here.

As a result of this meeting and at the request of the Select Board a core team continued to gather input from the community. That group presented a report of its findings to the Select Board in October of 2019. The report can be accessed here.

Recently, the Town was awarded a $300,000 grant from the EPA's brownfields program for a community-wide assessment.  This funding can be used to complete the environmental assessment at W.W. Cross and other sites in town, develop Remedial Action Plans for the final clean-up, groundwater permitting and eventual preparation for redevelopment.
