Economic Development
The Office of Planning and Economic Development is the first stop for all land development activities in Town. Our mission is to support the long-term sustainability of the Town's environment and economy in accordance with the Master Plan and Land Use Code. We also support and encourage an orderly economic development program for the town.
Non-residential development activities (including multi-family, mixed use, commercial and industrial) that involve new construction, a change of use, or external impacts, are subject to the site plan review process. All applicants are strongly encouraged to contact this office for a preliminary review of the proposed project in order that we can provide appropriate guidance. Staff will review an application for completeness and alert the project manager of any deficiencies (if any) prior to the Planning Board Public Hearing. This streamlines the process, enabling applicants to have as complete an application prepared for the Planning Board's review.
Online Assessing Data and Maps
The Town has launched an online platform for assessing data, maps, zoning, environmental features and other information helpful to residents and potential developers. Visit the Jaffrey Web GIS website. We are still under development and welcome comments and suggestions.
Additional information about the Planning Board's process and calendar can be found on the Planning Board page.
Visit the Economic Development Council page for information on the EDC.
