Our Services

The Jaffrey Public Library offers both traditional and modern library services. You can check out a book, movie, sewing machine, microscope, and even a telescope, but don't stop there! The following sections are a few other services available.

Programming

Sewing Studio

You can now reserve your own personal time in our Sewing Studio for your sewing projects and mending. Both a sewing machine and our Cricut machine are available in this space! Search available times and reserve your space online. We generally do not provide instruction by staff other than the project plans available.

Youth or teens under age 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult or have a signed parental permission form, for ages 13 to 18 only. Maximum occupancy: Two adults.

Seed Library

Our seed library opens in mid-March. Please limit your seed selections to 10 packets per family until everyone has had a chance to select. We want to help as many gardens prosper in Jaffrey as possible!

Wireless Access

The library is one of the wireless “hot spots” in Jaffrey. You can access our network, "JPL Guest," from inside or outside the Library. You can also check out a mobile hotspot!

Public Access Computers

There are 9 desktop computers for public use located in the library and 12 Chromebook laptops available for in-library use and library classes / workshops.

Printers

Printer-copier service is available from library staff on the Main Floor. The charge is 25 cents per page for black and white and 50 cents for color. Scanning to USB or email is free for the first ten pages.

Interlibrary Loan

Card holders in good standing are welcome to request titles from other libraries through the interlibrary loan program. Requests may be made in person or by logging in to Your Account.

Faxing

The library does not have a fax machine.
