Program Registration Polices

Procedure: Registration for all programs are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Individuals may register online, by mail or in person at the Jaffrey Recreation Office 31 Howard Hill Road. Registration forms must be completed and waiver agreement signed and the registration fee is required at the time of enrollment. Incomplete registration forms could result in non-registration. Any patrons with outstanding balances will not be allowed to register for other programs until the balance is paid in full. 

Waiting Lists: Waiting lists will be taken for programs that fill up. Payment will be due when a space is made available and offered and accepted by participant.

Fees: A person is not registered for an activity until payment is received, and if space is available. 

Checks: Make checks payable to "Jaffrey Recreation Department" There is a $25.00 return check fee.

Credit Card Processing:  Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Credit Card transactions are subject to a processing fee established by and paid to the credit card company processing company. Credit Card   processing fees are non-refundable. Refunds for credit cards will be made in the form of a check and may take up to two weeks to be processed and mailed.

Cancelations: The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any program, due to insufficient registration, bad weather or any other reasonable cause. Every effort will be made to notify participants if a program had been canceled, postponed or relocated due to space availability. 

JPRD Refund Policy:
Cancelation requests must be made by a patron seven or more days before the program start date to
receive a full refund. Registration canceled by a patron six days or less, or after a program has started,
will not be issued a full refund. A partial refund may be available for some programs.
Processing/convenience fees for credit card payments will not be refunded.
Refunds will be made in the form of a check and may take up to two weeks to be processed and mailed.

Scholarships: Scholarship are available for Jaffrey Residents for select recreation programs. To request a scholarship please contact the Recreation Department 603-532-7863.

conducting online services. The user of this website understands by its website use that the Town of Jaffrey, its officials and employees will not be liable for any injury caused by the disclosure of your
information, whether by security breach, accident, inadvertence, or any other act resulting in disclosure. The Town of Jaffrey is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. The Town will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

Facilities Polices:

Article 3 125-1 Animals are not allowed on Town Recreation Property.
It shall be unlawful for any animal or reptile to be on land owned and/or used by the Town of Jaffrey or any of its departments for bathing or playground purposes. The bathing and playground areas are hereby defined and described as the public beaches as Contoocook Lake, Gilmore Pond and Thorndike Pond and the playground at Humiston Field and Community Field. Exceptions may be granted by an appropriate town official. 

Resident Only Parking at Town Beaches: 
Jaffrey Town Code: Chapter 155 Article IV

  • Parking at Town public beaches (Contoocook Beach and Shattuck Park) is for permitted vehicles of town residents only.
  • Residents must have a Transfer Station Permit affixed to their vehicles to park at these two locations. Permits are distributed at Town Clerk's Office.
  • Vehicles without a permit will be subject to a $50 fine and towing at vehicle owner's expense. Restrictions are for parking only.
  • The Town's public beaches remain open for use by residents & non-residents.
  • Chapter 155 - Article IV of Jaffrey Town Code was approved in September 2020. 
  • Non Residents can park at Humiston Field (31 Howard Hill Road Jaffrey, NH.) and walk to Contooocook beach.
