Willa Cather Grave Site

Some of Jaffrey's prominent citizens from three centuries are buried behind the Meeting House, including Willa Cather. Historical notes and a grave map are located at the entrance to the Old Burial Ground.  

The Author Willa Cather (1873-1947) spent the fall months in Jaffrey from 1917 until 1940. She completed My Antonia here and wrote portions of many other books. She asked to be buried in the old burial ground, and tokens visitors leave by her grave pay homage to her work.
