Art. 3  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $262,500 for construction of new pump stations to replace existing River Street and Nelson Circle stations.  50% of  bond debt service to be funded from American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and Town's portion to be paid from undesignated sewer reserves. APPROVED (by secret ballot)

Art. 4  Accept all reports submitted by Town Officers as printed in Annual Report. APPROVED  

Art. 5  Accept costs included in collective bargaining agreement between the Town and the Public Works union, AFSCME Local 2973. APPROVED

Art. 6  Passed over.

Art. 18  Raise and appropriate $30,000 to placed in the existing Property Revaluation Capital Reserve Fund. APPROVED

Art. 19  Appropriate up to $123,000 from the Property Revaluation Capital Reserve Fund for purpose of conducting a town-wide property revaluation in 2010. APPROVED

Art. 20  Raise and appropriate $40,000 to be placed in the existing Firefighting and Rescue Equipment Capital Reserve Fund. APPROVED

Art. 21  Appropriate $83,000 from the Firefighting and Rescue Equipment Capital Reserve Fund to pay the down payment on 10-year lease/purchase of a new Fire Rescue Truck, taking delivery of the truck in June 2011. APPROVED (by secret ballot)

Art. 22  Raise and appropriate $5,000 to placed in the existing Land Acquisition Capital Reserve Fund. APPROVED

Art. 23  Rescind Article 6 of the 2009 Annual Town Meeting authorizing the issuance of bonds and notes to purchase the Hunt property. APPROVED

Art. 24  Adopt the provisions of RSA 41:14-a regarding the accquisition of land, to allow the Select Board to acquire or assist in acquiring land and conservation easements, provided certain procedures as outlined in the stature are followed, utilizing funds from the Land Acquisition Capital Reserve Fund. APPROVED

Art. 25  Raise and appropriate the sum of $16,000 to support the Jaffrey-Rindge Memorial Ambulance for the ensuing year. APPROVED

Art. 26  Raise and appropriate the sum of $7,000 for the support of the Monadnock Community Early Learning Center, a non-profit agency. APPROVED

Art. 27  Raise and appropriate the sum of $7,163 for Monadnock Family Services. APPROVED

Art. 28  Raise and appropriate the sum of $17,000 to support HCS – Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services to support the continuance of visiting nursing services being provided to the residents of Jaffrey. APPROVED

Art. 29  Raise and appropriate the sum of $6,000 to help support the work of The Community Kitchen, Inc. in Keene, NH. APPROVED

Art. 30  Raise and appropriate the sum of $3,800 (three thousand eight hundred dollars) to Southwestern Community Services, Inc., a private non-profit, multi-service, anti-poverty agency. APPROVED

Art. 31  Raise and appropriate the sum of $3,000 to be applied toward installing a life safety heat/smoke detector in the Cutler Memorial Building. APPROVED  (Amended on the floor to remove original reference to funds being withdrawn from the existing Town Clock Fund)

Art. 32  Raise and appropriate the sum of $3,800 (three thousand eight hundred dollars) to Jaffrey Civic Center to help support its ongoing community activities and events. APPROVED

Art. 33  To see if the Town will vote to approve the following resolution to be forwarded to our State Representative(s), our State Senator, the Speaker of the House and the Senate President. Resolved: The citizens of New Hampshire should be allowed to vote on an amendment to the New Hampshire Constitution that defines “marriage”. PASSED OVER

Art. 34  To see if the Town will vote to designate Ingalls Road from Gilmore Pond Road to the Rindge town line as a “Scenic Road” as provided by RSA 231:157. PASSED OVER

Art. 35  To see if the Town will vote to assess a yearly fee of $1.00 per acre on every full acre of land in Jaffrey(, including land) whose owners have requested that it be assessed and taxed at Current Use Valuation (CUV). Proceeds of such fee to be placed in the Jaffrey General Fund and be applied toward reduction of property taxes for all.
