Restrictions
- Anyone receiving financial assistance under APTD (Aid to the Permanently and Totally Disabled ) or OAA (Old Age Assistance) is not at the same time eligible for town assistance per state law.
- If you have a mortgage a lien will be placed on your property, repayable at sale of property.
- If at your appointment, you are suspected of abusing alcohol, illegal substances, or medications, you will be required to leave the office and reschedule your appointment.
- Anyone who makes an appointment but does not keep it or notify the office of a cancellation, is automatically suspended from applying for or receiving assistance for 7 days, other than for immediate emergencies.
- If you do not live in Jaffrey, you must apply to the Welfare Department in the town or city you reside in.
