INSTRUCTORS NOTE: The Jaffrey Police Department utilizes the Monadnock Straight Baton as an intermediate weapon. This is primarily a defensive tool that officers are certified to carry should they find themselves in a situation that has warranted the escalation of more force, in order to safely control the situation, with the least amount of harm and injury to both the suspect(s) and the officer(s) involved. ~ Sgt.
