Ralph E. Stratton Fund

Purpose: Scholarship

"Stratton Fund - Ralph E. Stratton Scholarship Awards - four (4) cash awards of equal value from the net income. The awards are available to students enrolled at the Conant High School, to further their education. The basis for making the awards shall be preparation of a paper entitled "Why I am Happy to be an American." The best ten (10) of such papers, to be selected by the school, shall be read at a meeting composed of members of the general public including students at the school which meeting previously has been advertised. The decision as to whom is to receive such awards shall be made by a majority vote of the audience and shall be selected from the papers so read."
